Who is Cindi?

I grew up in the Western part of North Carolina in a tiny town called Franklin. I still have family who live there, as well as other parts of WNC. This is where my heart will always call home. When I am feeling out of sorts, a trip to the mountains will always soothe my heart. When my family gathers....we do so in Franklin. We sit on the porch and tell stories and laugh until our sides hurt. We grill out, barbecue, make too many delicious side dishes, and desserts. We love sharing fellowship over those precious meals. 

My roots ARE Western North Carolina and my heart breaks for the utter devastation that area of God's country has experienced as a result of Hurricane Helene. Main stream media has done a horrible job accurately reported the devastation. Our government agencies that are supposed to be present,  provide aid and assistance have let these hard working people down in the worst possible way. The number of lives lost is hard to fathom. The entire wiping out of communities and towns is also hard to fathom. An entire region has been forever altered by landscape and by livelihood. 

One thing about these people....they won't lie down and give up. They will rebuild, but it will take years and years and years. They need our help.
